Votechaur Everest Tea Garden HikingIt is wonderful and quite different Hike than other hikes near to Kathmandu if you have very short duration. This journey starts from Kathmandu by private vehicle or Bus and head to Sankhu and after an hour reached to Sankhu Bus Park. Driving few minutes from Sankhu Bus Park then take left turn and reached Mahadevsthan from where it is uphill ride till Jaharsingh Pauwa. En route, you would be mesmerized by the beautiful landscapes of green hills blue skies and open fields.

You would stop at Jaharsingh Pauwa for a quick stretch, some snacks and little rest. After taking rest at Jharsing Pauwa, we took the left road way that lead us to Tea Garden while the other one, according to the Local people, is the shortest way to go Melamchi.

From Jharsing Pauwa, The tea garden is 10 km away and except for some sections of road which has been damaged by landslides, the road is smooth beautiful landscape to be taken in. The road time and again revealed incredible views of hills making every moment an unforgettable experience. Passing a few settlement on the way, after 30 minutes ride we reached Jaisi Gaun, from where it is 30 minutes uphill off road bumpy ride to the final destination.

Finally after covering 40 kilometers from Kathmandu, we reached the tea garden which is called Everest Tea Garden Unlike tea Gardens that you find in Eastern Nepal, Everest Tea Garden is not huge but big enough to give you the feel of being in a Tea garden. The lush greenery and the fresh cold air helped us forget our exhaustion.

You can spend few hours of that day by taking pictures and the panoramic view of tea garden with some mountains view and had lunch over there. You will have great feelings and enjoy as there are many urban denizens who like you to go there and spend a day in that amazing area.

After lunch, ride back to Kathmandu is mostly downhill. Of the any short route Trips that the trip to Everest Tea garden at Bhotechaur would be one of your best. So, if you are looking for a quick gateway from the bustling city, we recommend you to visit the Everest Tea Garden.
