Makalu trekking is also one of the popular trekking destinations in Nepal. Mt. Makalu (8463m) is the fifth highest peak in the world. During the trekking to the area, one cannot only see the Mt. Makalu but also various other mountains such as Mt. Chamlang (7319 m), Mt. Baruntse (7129m) to name a few stretching over 40 km along with Mt. Makalu, which lies at the eastern part of the country and is protected by the Makalu Barun National Park and Conservation Project. The park was established in 1992, which covers altogether 2330 sq km. Makalu trekking does not only offer a remarkable sceneries of the mountains but also the varieties of flora and fauna, the plants of all major ecological zones, tropical, sub-tropical, temperate, alpine and sub-alpine that are found in the national park, is considered the home to a rich variety of wildlife.

The trekking to Mt. Makalu begins from Tumlingtar, where we reach by direct flight from Kathmandu. From Tumlingtar we head to Manebhanjyang Crossing Tumlingtar, we reach at valleys, where many ethnic communities inhibit who have long preserved their culture. Trekking route passes through the lush forest, sub-tropical valley, flora and fauna, natural showcase and scenic views of the majestic Himalayas. Subsequently to proceed the out journey to chinchilla and then to Num, Seduwa, Tashingaon, Khongma, Mumbuk and we finally reach at Neh Kharka and take a rest for acclimatization, once we are ready with the altitude, we proceed our trekking to Yak Kharka and then finally we reach at Makalu base camp, where we rest and explore the scenes of this less explored areas and then after all we return back to Neh Kharka and then to Mumbuk, subsequently to Khogma, Seduwa, and then at Num, Chichilla and Manebhanjyan and finally we come back to Tumlingtar and fly back to Kathmandu.
