Kanchenjunga north base camp trekking is also one of the most loved destinations among the tourists who come in contact with Budget Adventure Treks Expeditions. Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586 m), the third highest mountain in the world is still unspoiled trekking trails, lies in the eastern part of Nepal. It was opened only in 1988 for trekkers. The trekking to the north base camp no doubt offers an astonishing and varieties of landscapes, cultures and panoramic views of Himalayas including four other the highest mountains in the world, namely, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Mt. Kanchenjunga in itself. Geographically, Mt. Kanchenjunga lies on the border of Nepal and Sikkim (India) and is the watershed of the Tamur Koshi River. Like, south base camp, the trekking to Kanchenjunga north base camp offers a glorious panorama from the crest of moraines.
Kanchenjunga North Base Camp TrekkingThe different between Kanchenjunga south base camp trekking and north base camp is that the trek to north base camp offers a bit more magnificent views of the snow capped mountain peaks, varied landscapes from the subtropical lowlands to the spectacular glacial plateaus, enchanting forests of rhododendrons and abundance of wildlife that includes the famous muck deer and blue sheep. The tranquil villages that dot the borders of Tibet and Sikkim lend a special flavor to the trek. Trekking in the area of the peaks of north face base camp situated at 5000 m. therefore, you need adequate acclimatization.
The trek to Kanchenjunga north base camp begins with direct flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar and again flight to Suketar. The trek begins with our first day at Suketar. From Ghunsa the trail leads up to the moraine and wild terrain to Kunjar, Ma manikhe, Chitre, Tseram, lapsang and finally we reach at Ramze base camp (5000m), while on the trek facing north, you can see some animals as well as birds like Thar or Goral. The whole trek is a difficult one and strenuous descents and climbs. Subsequently, after exploring whole area, we descend down to Tseram, land we have camp after milgin la (4200 m) and then we head to Lakep, Ramtang, Lhonak, Khangpachen, Phere, Amjilosa, Tapethok, Lingkhim and finally we reach at Suketar from there we catch plane to Biratnagar and then to Kathmandu.
