About Trip
Everest base camp trekking is most popular trekking trail in Everest region, as it offers a unique and unforgettable experience along with the unique views of the worlds highest and most beautiful mountains, the Mt. Everest. The Everest Base Camp has been famed from when Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenjing Norgay Sherpa made the first successful summit in 1953. It is the most famous and challenging trek in Khumbu region. The trek is famous for its spectacular mountain peaks and friendliness of its inhabitants (Sherpa). Khumbu is one of the most popular destinations for tourists.
The trekking to base camp begins by flight from Kathmandu to the mountain airstrip to Lukla, the heart of Everest Region, then after around three hours walk, we reach at Phakding and then we continue north up to Dudh Kosi valley and to Namche bazaar, where we spend one day for acclimatization. Then next day, we continue our trekking to Kala-Pattar and subsequently to the Everest base camp. We have one day rest in Dingboche or Pheriche in between and for some side-trips and for further acclimatization from the area, one can have some magnificent views of Everest along with Nuptse, Lohtse and Mount Pumori and return back to Lukla and catch the flight to Kathmandu.
Everest region trek is considered to be one of the most rewarding adventure trip in Khumbu Himalaya range as there are superb Himalayan sceneries including of Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m), Mt. Pumori (7161m), Mt. Changaste (7550m), Mt. Lingterin (6679m), Mt. Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723m), Mt. Kantega( 6685m), Mt.Kusum Khagaru (6367m),Mt.Kongde (6011m), Mt. Khumbila (5761m) , Mt. Twache peak (6367m), Mt. Cholaste (6335m) ,Island peak (6179m), Lobuche peak (6145m),Pokalde peak (5806m), Honku south peak (6119m) and one can spot various animals such as musk dears, leopards, jackals, mountain Thar, birds such as Pheasant, long tails birds and beautiful blend of Sherpa culture.
Budget Adventure Treks Expeditions makes arrangements of the trekking in the area, whole around the year, but the best time to visit the region is considered to be from the beginning of March to mid May and from the beginning of September to mid November.

Detail Itinerary
Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu Transfer to Hotel, and prepare for the next day's Mount Everest Base Camp Trek. Overnight Accommodations : Hotel/guesthouse
Day 02Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding In the morning, take a spectacular 40-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla - perched at 2865 meters (9400 feet) in the Khumbu region of Eastern Nepal - providing unforgettable views of the terraced landscape and river valleys below, as well as up-close perspectives of some of the world's highest mountains followed by a trip to Phakding (8700ft, 2650m). After an easy afternoon's scenic walk, set up camp for an overnight stay near Phakding. Overnight Accommodations : Tea house Meals Included : All
Day 03Phakding to Namche Bazaar Voyage through the magnificent forests of rhododendron, ending your nature-filled journey at Namche Bazaar (7 hrs from Phakding). While passing this long and often-steep passage, experience both the serenity and scenery of blue pine forests, firs, and junipers - all serving as the foreground to the beautiful backsplash that is Mount Everest. Day 04Day of Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar Enjoy the beauty of Namche's quaint village as well as the friendliness and hospitality of its local people. Trekkers may also visit the local museum containing exhibits displaying the area's native flora and fauna as well as the history of the Mount Everest region. Day 05Namche Bazaar to Tengboche Participants begin their trek with awe-inspiring, unforgettable views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse , Cholatse, Kantaiga, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. This stretch of the trek (approximately 3 hours) is quite an easy walk from Namche to Phunki, followed by a three-hour ascent towards Tengboche. Day 06Tengboche to Pheriche Journey towards Pheriche and trek through forests filled with of a variety of lush trees - birch, conifers and rhododendron. This picturesque trail dips down to Devuche, crossing the Imja River before climbing up to Pheriche where there is an HRA Trekkers' aid post and possible medical assistance (should it be required). Day 07Day of Acclimatization in Pheriche Acclimatize for trekking. Follow the invaluable suggestions/advice of guides while taking short journeys to Dingboche and Chhukung while simultaneously experiencing the various but beautiful views of Himalayas. Day 08Pheriche to Lobuje Continuation of ascent, climbing up to the terminal debris of Khumbu Glacier - crossing the row of stone monuments: established in the memory of six Sherpa who perished as the result of an avalanche at Lobuje. Overnight Accommodations : Tea house Meals Included : All
Day 09Lobuche to Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar Enduring a climb of approximately three (3) hours to arrive at Gorak Shep where you are treated to yet another beautiful view of Mt. Everest and Pumori - reaching Kala Patthar (within two hours of trekking). Once observing one of the most up-close and formidable views of Mt. Everest from Kala Patthar, return back to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay. Overnight Accommodations : Tea house Meals Included : All
Day 10Gorak Shep to Dingboche Walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to the Everest Base Camp (5380m) - the closest destination reachable without proper mountain-climbing equipment. Here, enjoy the spectacular view of the Khumbu Icefall from the world-renowned Mount Everest Base Camp before descending to Dingboche for the evening.
